I spotted a Polaris Slingshot driving past me during lunch. I didn't really know what it was. I googled it, and I found out it gave me a much crazier impression of what it was than what actually lies beneath. It has a 173 hp GM 2.4 liter EcoTech with a 5-speed manual, that starts around $20k. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it is plenty quick and tons of fun since it only weighs around 1730 lbs. It just looked "crazier" than that. Maybe that's a good thing, too.

I noted how low the seats are. One article I read said the driver is literally less than a foot off the ground, which appears true to me.

I just can't get over how heavy the thing is; it's less than 200 lb lighter than a Lotus Elise, despite having less... everything. Not to mention that the Elise has more power and a 6-speed.
